February may be the month of true love for some but at Kanon we asked the artists in this year’s Dark Heart show to explore the darker and funnier side of love with their art. We left the interpretation of the theme open and got some wonderful entries including painting, photography, and sculpture.

More about our jurors: Merhia Weise is a local artist and worked in community engagement for Meow Wolf, and Andrew Novick has been a fixture in the Denver art and music scene for many decades, usually with something involving whatever new and twisted food concoction he has created.
